Researchers from the Lootian Department of History and Natural Sciences have translated the sixth tablet of the origins of the Gods: Demons of the Deep. This document reveals one more chapter of the Pantheon of Gods and the Demons’ creation.
“With every beat of its wings, the ground felt as though it was shaking in its presence. When Selkum would speak, flame and smoke would surge from its gnarling. It was said to resemble the gates of the Underworld. Selkum did not speak often, but in its presence, the lesser would perish.
Next was a long and slender scaled Serpent Demon that went by Grungentrum. Its scales looked just like the finest black stone that the dwarves could craft. There were no arms, legs, or wings, but its body was long and slender. Creeping and skulking through the shadows, it is said to be the thing of nightmares. Its mouth is filled with gnashing razors, dripping with an acid that can melt the finest of metals and dissolve a Lootizen. Protruding from its nose are two long whiskers that more closely resemble tentacles to help guide it on the darkest of nights. Tipped with a sickness that even just grazing these will cause anyone to faint regardless of race. It holds power over life and death; with a word, it can temporarily bring a Lootizen back to “life”. Although, it would be more of a half-life, leaving them in a state of limbo. Neither dead nor alive, only serving. It lived on the Southern Isle (Medici Principality), lurking and stalking the beasts that walk the land. Eventually, it could become the bane of Lootizens inhabiting the region.
Another great Serpent Demon that stalked the land and skies was The Great Triton. Its massive arms and legs, tipped with talons more akin to the mightiest swords, would slash and tear the land they crossed. Its tail was so strong that it could knock down houses, walls or bridges. Triton was able to swim with an astonishing speed from Island to Island, guarding the portal opening. That was to ensure Lootizens were not able to leave. Even though it was not the largest of the Serpent Demons, it was still of formidable size, standing taller than a house on its legs. Once landing on an island, it would slumber, creating a pool of a viscous goo that would ensnare and cause a… (delirium) so intense that even if they made it away, they would never be the same after. Triton enjoyed playing with its food, hurting them only to let them seem like they could get away before finally ending their existence. There was such disdain for other life that they would walk through the Islands during broad daylight, so everyone knew they were the ruler of the Isle.
The last great Serpent Demon was Yungrinker, whose body could wrap around an Island where it could bite its own tail if desired. Whose sole mission was to guide the souls of sailors for Niefel in the Underworld. Lurking just below the ocean’s surface, their face would be visible behind the waves only during the largest storm swells. Where the last thing many sailors used to see was their fiery yellow eye …”
The sixth tablet of origin of the Gods, Demons of the Deep, showed significant progress in public knowledge about the Lootian Gods and Demons. The researchers identified the most feared Demons brought forth by Niefel to terrorize all Lootizens. The Lootian Department of History and Natural Sciences is still working on the translation to discover the historical references and connections that are a part of this world.
