The Lootian Department of History and Natural Sciences researchers have progressed on the sixth part of the ‘Tale of Mulgarath.’ Here is another excerpt of their work so far.
As Mulgarath carries on his heated conversation with the dwarves, tensions rise as the dwarves grasp their axes and hammers, ready for combat. It is clear that this will be no ordinary exchange of words.
The Start of Hatred- continued
Therrigg scolded Mulgarath, “You’re acting inappropriately. This isn’t the right time or place for this kind of behavior. Keep a cool head, or you’ll get into trouble with Jord.” He firmly grasped his war ax as he spoke, ready to defend himself if necessary.
Malnus chimed in, “Why don’t you turn around and leave like you were never here? You didn’t even have the basic courtesy to introduce yourself properly. Who do you think you are, coming in here uninvited and disrespecting us like this?”
Mulgarath spoke with a fierce determination, “I am Mulgarath, and you would be wise to remember how you have treated me. If you continue to be insolent, your head will be removed from your short, stumpy shoulders. The Longstone line will end with you. Step aside and let me pass. My destiny will not be denied.
“Malnus sneered, “If you take one more step, your destiny will come to an end at the hands of us dwarves.” He hefted his hammer and prepared for battle, his muscles tensing as he waited for Mulgarath’s next move. As Therrigg sidled up to Mulgarath, ready for battle, Malnus tried to intimidate and belittle Mulgarath. However, his efforts were in vain and only infuriated Mulgarath further.
Both sides were equally frustrated. More dwarves emerged from the chamber, and Mulgarath saw that he was greatly outnumbered and had no chance of victory. He began to retreat, only to realize that there was no way out. This realization fueled his anger towards the dwarves for their unfair treatment of him.
