NeoWorlder’s Department of History and Natural Sciences has made significant progress in identifying the Pantheon of Gods in Lootverse. After months of research, all four classes of deities have been discovered. Scholars simultaneously explore and translate the stories that make up the Lootian Mythology from ancient Loeic to the common language. If you have been following The Lootverse Gazette, you would have seen the revealing of the first two classes of Gods and their depictions. The Primordial Gods, Einvaldi and Annuler, and the Elder Gods, Kempe, Fagra, Prevti, Udrar, Viss, and Talos, had their illustrations disclosed in the past few weeks. Today, you will meet the third generation of deities in Lootverse: The World Gods, which include Jord, Ver, Horis, Niefel, and Artimia.

Jord: Goddess of Land

Jord, the Goddess of Land, has been found to have power over the landscape and geological features in Arcadia. She can manipulate the earth’s layers to form mountains and valleys with her commanding voice. Ancient civilizations would make offerings to her in the past because they believed that displeasing Jord could cause catastrophic natural disasters like volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Jord is also known as the mother and leading creator of the Dwarves, one of Arcadia’s original four races.

Ver: God of Water

Ver is one of the most imposing deities in Lootverse and is known as the God of Water. He has power over all bodies of water in the world, including lakes, rivers, and the ocean. In the past, Lootian fishermen worshipped him before entering the sea, hoping he would calm the waves and protect their harbors and workers. Numerous legends have been told about his apparitions in this land, including a famous tale that describes how he once appeared to Lootian sailors trying to survive a storm. According to the story, Ver was riding a tidal wave with his trident, Trishula.

Horis: God of Weather

Horis, known as the God of Weather, can control Arcadia’s air, temperature, and seasons. He can manipulate the wind, cause rain, and generate lightning in the Lootian sky. Throughout history, Lootians from different races worldwide made offerings to Horis, hoping for favorable weather. They also believed that natural disasters like hurricanes were punishments for their sins. During the war, Lootian troops would worship Horis and ask for torrents to be thrown over their opponents.

Niefel: Goddess of Death

Niefel was considered the most feared deity by Lootians. She is the Goddess of Death in some regions, also known as the Goddess of Famine, Pestilence, and Unworthy Souls. Her story is full of violence, tragedy, and revenge. She joined forces with Udrar, the God of Wrath, to kill Einvaldi, the God of Existence. When the crime was exposed, Kempe, the Chief God, banished her from Olympus and sentenced her to live forever in the Underworld. To learn more about her story, read this article.

Artimia: Goddess of Fire

Artimia is the Goddess of Nature, a vital element in the evolution of the world as it is today. Races inhabiting the Lootian woodlands worshipped her, expecting her watch and protection against fires that could consume the forests. Some races also accredited to her the control over natural resources, scarce elements hidden in the ground. The echoes say that Artimia is the Goddess of Gems and is responsible for creating gemstones only found in Arcadia.
